COMMENT THROUGH APRIL 7, 2006
SOLID AND HAZARDOUS WASTE
Deseret Chemical Depot will hold an information meeting on March 1, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. at the Tooele Chemical Stockpile Public Outreach Office for a Class 2 Mod (06.00507) to its Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (TOCDF) Permit. TOCDF has performed an evaluation of Attachment 5 in its RCRA permit following closure of the Mine Machine, Rocket Shear Machine, Dunnage Incinerator, and partial closure of the Brine Reduction Area. The TOCDF proposes to remove permit language that is no longer relevant and not required by Federal or State regulations and make minor administrative corrections
Comment period: 2/7/06 - 4/7/06.

COMMENT THROUGH APRIL 26, 2006
SOLID AND HAZARDOUS WASTE
Deseret Chemical Depot will hold an information meeting on April 26, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. at the Tooele Chemical Stockpile Public Outreach Office for a Class 2 Mod (06.01176) to its Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (TOCDF) Permit. TOCDF recently installed new liners for Sumps 107, 146, 147, 149, and 168. The type of liner that was installed is smaller than what is noted on RCRA drawing TE-00-S-909 and in Table 4, Hazardous Waste Sump Systems, of the RCRA Permit. TOCDF is seeking to update the permit to these current configurations by adding a notation to the drawing referenced above stating that the maximum distance between the sump liner and the concrete vault can be greater than 3 inches for the five sumps that have the smaller liners and updating Table 4 to contain the corrected dimensions of the sumps.
Comment period: 3/23/06 – 4/26/06.
