SOLID AND HAZARDOUS WASTE

Deseret Chemical Depot will hold an information meeting on February 1, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. at the Tooele Chemical Stockpile Public Outreach Office for a Class 3 Mod (05.04058) to its Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (TOCDF) Permit. TOCDF is now scheduled to begin the destruction of munitions and containers filled with the chemical warfare agents designated as H, HD and HT (collectively referred to as "Mustard" blister agent). The Mustard "Campaign is the third and final agent demilitarization campaign TOCDF plans to undertake. This permit modification request proposes revisions to the TOCDF RCRA permit that will allow use of the existing process equipment to begin the Mustard Campaign with moderate modifications to both equipment and procedures.
